Dark Chocolate & Salted Caramel Brownies

3/4 cup salted butter, melted
1 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup dark chocolate, melted
1/2 cup salted caramel chips, melted
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup cacao powder, high quality
1 cup chocolate chips
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a 9X9 pan with parchment paper and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl with whisk attachment, pour in melted butter and sugar. Whisk until smooth.
- Add eggs and vanilla, mix for additional minute.
- Next add the melted chocolate and caramel chips, combine until smooth.
- Then, using a rubber spatula, add the flour and cacao powder. Stir until just combined, then mix in 1/2 cup of the remaining whole chocolate chips.
- Pour batter into prepared pan, using spatula to smooth top. Cake in oven for approx 30 minutes, until toothpick inserted near center comes out clean.
- Remove from oven and sprinkle the last 1/2 cup of chocolate chips over the hot brownies. After 10 minutes, use a knife to spread or swirl the chips out on top. Sprinkle sea salt over brownies. Slice into squares and serve warm. Enjoy!
