Why do M&M’s make cookies so much more irresistible than the average chocolate chip cookie? My kids thought this was the coolest cookie ever! 😀 They helped me bake this “gigantic monster cookie” and we took it out together to ogle how enormous and yummy it looked before I sliced it into kid-sized portions and actually let them have some. It’s everything you want in a cookie. Chewy, chocolate-y ooey gooey goodness. Definitely as fun to eat as it was to make. Enjoy!

minutesIngredients
1 cup salted butter, softened
1 cup white granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 large eggs
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1-1 1/2 cups M&M’s (I used peanut butter M&M’s)
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees and lightly spray a sheet pan with non-stick cooking spray. Set aside.
- In a medium sized bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl combine the butter and sugar until pale and creamy, then add the eggs and vanilla and beat until fluffy.
- Slowly add the dry ingredients to the mixing bowl, mixing just until combined. Fold in the chocolate chips and M&M’s into the batter and then plop the dough onto the sheet pan, spread it out and pressing lightly with spatula to maintain even thickness. Do not spread all the way to edges of pan as cookie dough will spread as it cooks.
- Bake until JUST lightly browned, about 15 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool completely before slicing into squares and transferring to serving plate. Enjoy!
