Slow cooked beef bolognese sauce over thick lasagna noodles with a generous dollop of ricotta makes this easy dinner a big hit! This beef bolognese sauce is so good! Lazy Lasagna Crockpot Beef Bolognese

1 package lasagna
1 lb lean ground beef
2 15 oz cans tomato sauce
2 cups finely diced tomatoes
1 12 oz can fire roasted tomatoes
1 lemon, zested
1 Tbsp butter
1 cup heavy cream
2 bay leaves
6 cloves garlic, minced
1 large white onion, diced
1 dash nutmeg
2 cups ricotta cheese
fresh ground pepper
fresh basil, for serving
Directions
- In large skillet, place beef and cook until browned, crumble and transfer cooked beef to crock pot
- Add tomato sauce and tomatoes to the beef, mix well, then add the zested lemon, butter, cream, bay leaves, garlic, onion and nutmeg. Give a gentle stir and allow to cook on low for 4-6 hours.
- In separate large pot, cook lasagna noodles according to package directions.
- Place cooked lasagna into serving bowls, top with a generous portion of the beef bolognese, then dollop ricotta over the sauce. Sprinkle fresh ground pepper over pasta and garnish with fresh basil, if desired. Enjoy!
