Garlic Butter Pull-Apart Bread

A new family favourite and perfect with dinner or as a mid-day snack, this pull-apart bread is fun for kids and adults alike. It’s a garlicky, cheesy, buttery bread that is SO soft and fluffy it’s borderline addictive.

I definitely plan to make this over and over and I especially love baking it on our new Ironwood 885 Traeger grill. #ad

We love that our Traeger has WiFIRE Technology so we can monitor our grilling adventures from anywhere in our home. And the Super Smoke Mode is also a very cool feature we use a lot!

There’s something about baking outside using pellets that gives your baked goodies an extra flair of flavour and that something “extra” that just really makes it taste more special. (If you have a pellet grill, you already know.)

Whatever method you choose, I hope you love this bread a much as we do. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • For bread:
    1/4 cup warm milk

  • 1 teaspoon honey

  • 1 tablespoon instant yeast

  • 1 egg

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 3/4 cup milk

  • 1/3 cup butter, melted but not too hot

  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated

  • 3 1/2-4 cups all purpose flour

  • For coating:
    1/2 cup butter, melted

  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder

  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning

  • 2 tablespoons parmesan cheese

Directions

  • Dissolve honey in warm milk and add yeast, let sit until frothy
  • In large bowl, combine egg, milk and salt. Add yeast mixture and combine well. Then add butter and cheese, stir together.
  • Add flour, one cup at a time, until dough begins to form. Place on floured surface and knead 5-7 minutes until springy and smooth.
  • Place dough into a greased bowl and cover with damp tea towel, let sit in warm place until doubled in size.
  • Meanwhile, prepare the coating my mixing together the melted butter, garlic powder, Italian seasoning and parmesan in a small bowl. Set aside.
  • Preheat your pellet grill or oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Once dough has risen, cut or pull dough apart into small chunks and one at a time, coat in the melted butter mixture before placing in a greased bundt pan. Continue stacking the pieces until all the dough has been used up.
  • Place pan in oven or on grill and let bake for 45 minutes or until golden brown and done.
  • Remove and let cool slightly. Brush with melted butter and chopped chives, if desired. Enjoy!
