Easy Vanilla Butter Cake

1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
3 large eggs
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla extract
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees, lightly butter or spray a 6-cup bundt pan or loaf pan
- In a medium sized bowl, combine the flour, baking powder and salt. Whisk together well.
- In a separate, large mixing bowl , combine the butter and sugar. Beat well until light and fluffy,
- Add eggs, one at a time, to the butter mixture. Then add the flour mixture, cup by cup, and finally add the vanilla. Mix until well incorporated and smooth batter. (If batter seems dry, add a little milk)
- Pour into prepared dish and bake for approx 40 minutes, checking regularly as oven temperatures vary. Cake is done when toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
- Let cool in pan for 10 minutes before removing. Slice warm, and serve. Enjoy!
